Ferro Bio Pellet

There are cases when gas has particularly high levels of H2S concentration. It may happen when it has not been previously treated on anaerobic plants, or when it is brought in from landfills.

The gas that comes out of sewage treatment plants carries contaminants, especially hydrogen sulphide that apart from being toxic for humans corrodes the machines used to convert the gas into electricity.

Hydrogen sulphide (H2S) is one of the most common contaminants and it also the one that appears in large amounts, in concentrations that may range between 1,000 and 20,000 ppmv. This gas becomes lethal when its concentration is around 700 ppmv. At the same time, in order to be used in the engines co-generating electricity, H2S concentration in biogas cannot exceed 400 to 500 ppmv.

In this case, Ferrio Bio Pellet filters are used.

In this case, a filter filled with Ferro Bio Pellet is required.

Biogas enters via the lower part of the filter, passes through the layer of Ferro Bio Pellet. When H2S contacts with our pellets a chemical reaction is triggered which turns biogas into iron sulphide and sulphur.

Our Pellets have an extremely high capacity for regeneration, which is 80% higher than that of activated carbon.

Ferro Bio Pellet can stand from 8 to 10 cycles before exhausting its capacity and becoming unusable.

Since the levels of iron sulphide and sulphur our pellets bear are high, they can be applied as organic soil fertiliser once they have reached their limit and gone out of use.

There are fixed and mobile filters.

Taking into consideration the individual needs of our customers, an escrow account can be arranged, which, in turn, would not require any investment from the client.
